1. Complaints/Grievance Procedure

  1. Participants should raise concerns with the facilitator where appropriate.
  2. Where inappropriate, participants should raise concerns with the delivery coordinator within 7 days of the incident.
  3. Gas Safety Solutions will advise each participant about the internal and external appeals process.
  4. Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will interview anyone concerned and take any steps necessary to investigate the issue.
  5. Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will ensure that any complaint, grievance or appeal is recorded in writing.
  6. Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will ensure that the internal process is completed before the external process starts.
  7. Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will uphold or reject the complaint and request independent arbitration acceptable to the complainant.
  8. If the complaint is upheld, Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will make every effort to resolve the issue to the satisfaction of all parties and/or refer to appropriate services.
  9. Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will advise the participant that he/she has the right to a support person during the appeals process.
  10. If the appeal is rejected Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will appoint, in consultation with the complainant, an agreed independent arbitrator.
  11. If an independent arbitrator upholds the appeal, Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will abide by the decision.
  12. Each appellant will be given a written statement of the appeal outcomes, including reasons for the decision.
  13. If the independent arbitrator rejects the appeal and the complainant wishes to proceed, Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd will refer the matter to VETAB.

2. Student Assessment Procedure

The assessment will be based on a closed book assessment and a practical demonstration of the beverage system operation.

3. Refund Policy

  1. Enrolment fees are non-refundable.
  2. Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd agrees to refund within 30 days of the receipt of written notice of cancellation by the participant prior to the commencement of the course.
  3. Payment made by credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) will attract a 3% surchange.

4. Changes to Services

Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd reserves the right to change the particulars of the services, including changes to prices, courses, facilities and dates of programs where circumstances beyond Gas Safety Solutions Pty Ltd's control necessitate such changes.
